Our exciting plans to convert a former church in Ince, Wigan, have been granted planning permission.

HPBC is a pioneering, multi-award winning, not-for-profit charitable organisation that is changing people’s lives as well as helping to address the UK’s housing crisis. We combine self-build, volunteering and philanthropy in a unique way.

Our mission is to improve the supply of affordable new homes and to create socially inclusive and cohesive communities, while empowering those with a housing need to help themselves.

We are doing this right now in Granby-Toxteth, Liverpool, where we have built 32 new homes on Kingsley Road/Alt St and are currently working on the St Bernard’s Church conversion and adjacent land, creating 16 new homes.

Explore our site to find out more about who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved.

I loved building not just our home, but our community with my neighbours and our friends and family. The sense of community continues now we’ve moved in- we’re planning our next street party!
